Dashboard and filing management
View, filter, edit, and delete your saved tax filings from the Nomadfiling dashboard, and track your filing credits.
Manage your saved filings from one place
The dashboard at /dashboard shows every filing saved to your account, starting with the most recently created. From this page, you can track filing credits, filter filings by tax year, open a filing to review it, return to editing, or delete it when you no longer need it.
You must be signed in to open the dashboard. If you are not logged in, Nomadfiling redirects you to /login.
What you can do in the dashboard
The dashboard is built for ongoing filing management rather than first-time setup. It combines your saved filings, your available filing credits, and account navigation in one screen.
Review your filing list
Each filing appears as a card with the key details you need to identify it quickly:
- LLC name
- EIN
- Tax year range
- Creation date
Nomadfiling loads filings from your saved records and orders them by creation date in descending order, so the newest filing appears first.
Track filing credits
The credit summary at the top of the dashboard shows how many filings you have used against your paid credits.
Nomadfiling calculates this by summing the filings_purchased value from your paid payments:
- If at least one paid payment includes
-1, the dashboard shows Unlimited - Otherwise, it shows X of Y filings used
That makes it easy to see whether you need to buy more credits before creating another filing.
If your credit count does not match what you expect, check the status of your purchases on the Payments page. Only paid payments count toward your filing total.
Filter by tax year
Use the year filter to narrow the list to a specific filing period. The dashboard extracts unique years from each filing's tax_year_end value and shows them as pill buttons.
The filter always includes:
- All for every filing
- One button for each detected year, such as 2024 or 2023
Years are sorted from newest to oldest so recent filings stay easiest to reach.
Use the account navigation
The dashboard navigation gives you access to the rest of your account tools without leaving the signed-in area.
Available navigation items include:
- Dashboard
- Fax Outbox
- Payments
- Account
- Language switcher
- Logout
On smaller screens, the same navigation is available through the mobile hamburger menu.
Work with an existing filing
Most dashboard actions start from a filing card. Choose the action that matches what you need to do next.
Find the filing you want to manage
Scan the filing cards or use the year filter to reduce the list first. This is the fastest way to find the right entity when you have filings across multiple tax years.
When you find the correct card, confirm the LLC name, EIN, and tax year before taking action.
Choose the right action
Each filing card includes these actions:
- Edit opens
/edit/:filingIdso you can continue updating the filing - View opens
/filing/:filingIdto review the saved filing - Download opens
/filing/:filingIdso you can access the generated filing output - Delete starts the removal flow for that filing
If you only need to inspect details or retrieve documents, use View or Download. Use Edit when you need to change filing data.
Confirm destructive changes before deleting
When you choose Delete, Nomadfiling shows a confirmation dialog before removing the filing.
After you confirm, Nomadfiling deletes the filing's PDF files from the filing-pdfs storage bucket and then deletes the filing record itself. Once that process finishes, the filing no longer appears in your dashboard.
Deleting a filing removes both the saved filing record and its stored PDF files. If you may need the documents later, download them before you delete the filing.
Understand each dashboard action
Edit
Use Edit to reopen a filing in the editor at /edit/:filingId. This is the right choice when you need to correct entity details, update transaction amounts, or regenerate documents after making changes.
If the filing opens successfully, you return to the editing flow with that filing loaded instead of starting from a blank form.
View
Use View to open the filing detail page at /filing/:filingId. This helps when you want to review a saved filing without changing its data.
Choose this option when you are verifying filing details, checking tax year information, or confirming that a filing was saved correctly.
Download
Use Download from the filing page to access the generated output associated with that filing. This is the best option when you are ready to keep a local copy for your records or submit documents through your normal workflow.
If the filing has generated documents available, the filing page gives you access to those saved outputs.
Delete
Use Delete only when you are sure you no longer need the filing in your account. Deletion is permanent because it removes the stored PDFs first and then deletes the filing record.
If you are unsure, open the filing and download the documents before you delete it.
What happens if you have no filings yet
If your account does not have any saved filings, the dashboard shows a No filings yet empty state instead of the filing list.
That empty state includes a Create First Filing call to action that links to /, so you can start a new filing immediately.
